Types of Designers

If you have been in a design studio, group, or a freelance designer who does colab work with others, you should have noticed by now that there are different designers out there. You might be the designer who simply complies to what the client wants regardless of gazillion changes or whatever bizarre request there is based on 30 cool things found on x number of projects...or maybe you have worked with that strong willed designer who does not give a damn about everyone else because everyone is an inferior being in his eyes.

Aidan Huang comes up with an article which describes designers today as the following:

  1. The Perfectionist
  2. The Albert Einstein Designer
  3. The David Copperfield Designer
  4. The Captain Hook Designer
  5. The Mahatma Gandhi Designer
  6. The Bashful Dwarf Designer
  7. The Ella of Frell Designer

Now what kind of designer are you?

As a consumer, we seek out products, services, and practitioners that are friendly, helpful, interesting and overall pleasant to deal with. When you select individuals and organizations to interact with or do business with you are making a decision based on the totality of their behavioural characteristics and how you emotionally react to them.
